Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups penne pasta
  • 5 cups (sliced into thin florets) - see picture below broccoli
  • 2-3 large minced cloves garlic
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp balamic vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling water until al dente, tender but still firm to the bite, about 8 minutes.
  2. Drain pasta and set aside.
  3. Heat the olive oil over medium.
  4. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until garlic is lightly golden.
  5. Add broccoli and season with salt.
  6. Mix well with the oil and sauté until broccoli begins to soften.
  7. Add boiled pasta and toss well to mix with oil and broccoli.
  8. Add soy sauce and mix well.
  9. Adjust seasoning/sauce to taste.
  10. Serve.
