Ingredients
  

For bhaji
  • half-stick butter
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2, medium onion
  • 1 cup (boiled and mashed ) potato
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 1 cup cabbage
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 2, large tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato
  • to taste salt
  • 2 lemons
  • according to your taste pav bhaji masala
For pav
  • 8 pav
  • 2 tsp butter

Method
 

  1. For bhaji
  2. Heat the butter in a pan
  3. Add the garlic, chillies, and onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes
  4. Add the cauliflower and cabbage and cook for 5 minutes
  5. Add peas, bell pepper, spinach and cook for 5 to 7 minutes
  6. Add mashed potato, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, lemon juice and pav bhaji masala.
  7. Mash thoroughly using a potato masher.
  8. Add water and bring it to a boil.
  9. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  10. For pav
  11. Cut the pav in half. Toast the pav halves with butter until they are golden brown.
  12. Serve garnished with chopped cilantro and chopped onion.
Note - For Vegan, replace the butter with oil. You can use the hamburger buns or breads or dinner rolls as a substitute for pav.
