Ingredients
  

  • 6 potatoes
  • oil
  • curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • pinch chili powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
Gram Flour Paste
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • water
  • 3/4 tbsp salt

Method
 

  1. Boil the potatoes and remove the skin. Mash the potatoes and put aside.
  2. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan.
  3. Add curry leaves, mustard seeds to the pan. Add the mashed potatoes.
  4. Add the sugar, salt, and chili powder.
  5. Turn off the gas and shape the potatoes into round balls.
  6. In a separate bowl, add 1/2 cup gram flour, water, and salt to make a paste. The paste should be not too thick and not too thin.
  7. Dunk the potato ball into the flour paste coating and fry.
